Alchemy and Life

Spend an enlightening and stimulating day with Shaun learning about alchemy.

Alchemy is an ancient allegorical art that helps us to understand ourselves and others better. It can also prove very helpful in dealing with life's difficulties such as work, relationships and spirituality. The course is experiential, with lots of exercises, visualisations and fun. We laugh and cry together. Numbers are limited to six so that Shaun can give each person individual attention, so book your place now.

Shaun is a transpersonal therapist and tarot reader. He has a Certificate and diploma in transpersonal counselling and psychotherapy at the centre for counselling and psychotherapy education at Little Venice in London. He has a private practice and also works with young people at the Abingdon Bridge. He also has an MA in Child, Family and Adolescent transpersonal therapy.

The workshop takes place over a weekend from 10 till 4.30 on both days. Bring and share lunch. The cost is £110.

Course One: An Introduction toTarot

This course is for people who are coming to the subject fresh and curious and is also ideal for those people who have some knowledge of tarot and are seeking to broaden their understanding and skills. Shaun combines talks on key areas of interest, with more experiential work. There are plenty of practice exercises and interaction with each other. Subjects covered include:

Course Two: Intermediate Tarot

This course is ideal for those people who have some knowledge of tarot and are seeking to broaden their understanding. It is also ideal for those who are seeking to use the tarot meditationally and for spiritual development. Shaun focuses not on divination, but on spiritual development and how the tarot can help you to understand and communicate with your higher self. Subjects covered include:

• The elemental energies of the suits
• The history and mystery of the numbers
• Relationship with Mystical systems
• Deeper understanding of Alchemy
• Meditation with the cards
• Using the cards for personal growth
• More complex spreads
• Developing your intuition and relating this to your clients

Course Three: Advanced Tarot

This course is certificated and recommended for those people who have been on my intermediate tarot course as it develops futher the mystical concepts explored there. I take pride in the fact that students of mine have gone on to succesfully practice as professional tarot readers following completion ofmy three courses. combined with the all important practice. Subjects covered include:

• The Holy Qabalah and links with the tarot
• Psychosynthesis and the tarot
• Chakras and the Tarot
• The trionfi
• Jungian archetypes and the tarot
• Psychodrama and creating stories with the tarot
• Practising with real clients (I arrange voluteers!)
• Revision

Each of the above courses take place in three ways: over a weekend, running from 10 am to 4.30 pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Over three Saturdays, running from 10 am to 2.30 pm. Or over six evenings, running from 7.30 pm to 9.45 pm. They take place in London and Abingdon.
